AISIN Group, including our company, will be exhibiting at the 46th Tokyo Motor Show 2019, which will be held at Tokyo Big Sight from Friday, October 25th to Monday, November 4th.
This time, under the theme of "AISIN Group 's technological capabilities backed by history and challenges for the future," we will introduce AISIN Group 's efforts from the past to the present, as well as future technological developments that will lead to them.
AISIN Group has always been at the forefront of identifying trends and changes in the world, developing cutting-edge technologies that may be needed in the future, and conducting basic research to propose a variety of products, including some that are world firsts Cooperative regenerative braking system such as hybrid transmissions, regenerative braking systems, car navigation systems, and parking assistance systems.
This year, Aisin Seiki will exhibit for the first time in Japan the "i-mobility TYPE-C" (future), which is equipped with technologies and services designed to accommodate a variety of users and riding situations in an increasingly diversifying mobility society. In addition, Aisin Seiki will also exhibit the "i-mobility TYPE-T" (present), which showcases AISIN Group 's wide range of business areas, and the 1960s Toyota "Sports 800" (past), which was restored by AISIN Seiki employees.
Additionally, videos and panel exhibits will be used to introduce AISIN Group 's products and technologies that have actually solved social issues in each of the "CASE" fields, as well as current and future products and technologies that are being developed with the aim of solving those issues from a new perspective.
For "i-mobility TYPE-C," you can see a demonstration of how the vehicle interior and driver detection technology works in conjunction with vehicle body products to provide "hospitality" for a comfortable journey, such as opening and closing doors and adjusting seats according to the occupants' movements and situation, and notifying passengers of forgotten items.
Based on the "Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs)" issued by the United Nations, AISIN Group has selected priority issues such as "Preventing global warming" and "Reducing traffic accidents." Going forward, we will continue to contribute to the realization of a sustainable society through our business activities, leveraging the technological capabilities we have cultivated to date and the wide range of business areas of the Group.
