Six AISIN Group companies, including our company, will be jointly exhibiting at the Tokyo Motor Show 2017, which will be held at Tokyo Big Sight from Saturday, October 28th to Sunday, November 5th.
In response to the structural changes surrounding the automotive industry, AISIN Group is focusing on three next-generation growth areas: zero emissions, autonomous driving, and connected cars. At this year's Tokyo Motor Show, the company will be showcasing the progress it has made in these technologies.
In the "zero emissions" field, we will be expanding our powertrain lineup to accommodate electrification, including a one-motor hybrid transmission that makes use of existing technology and a high-capacity electric 4WD (e-4WD) unit. In the "autonomous driving" field, we will be showcasing integrated vehicle motion control, including a driver abnormality response system, and automatic valet parking. In the "connected" field, we will be clearly introducing hospitality services that allow the car to anticipate the user's mood to always provide a comfortable drive, as well as location information utilization services.
In addition, as core technologies supporting these next-generation developments, representative products from four business areas - "Powertrain," "Driving Safety," "Vehicle Body," and "Information & Electronics" - will be exhibited, showcasing the company's manufacturing capabilities and commitment to quality.
In addition, as a comprehensive automotive parts supplier that handles almost all of the components that make up a car, we will be exhibiting the latest demo car (frame model) equipped with the wide range of products that our group handles. The structure of the car allows you to see at a glance which products are used in which parts, and you can also see the features of each product through light, movement and video.
In addition, we will be exhibiting "ILY-Ai," a personal mobility device that can be transformed into four different forms - "vehicle," "scooter," "cart" and "carrier" - to suit a wide range of uses.
