Aisin Corporation and two other AISIN Group companies * will be exhibiting at the 24th ITS World Congress Montreal 2017, which will be held at Le Palais des congrès de Montréal (Montreal, Canada) from Sunday, October 29th to Thursday, November 2nd.
This time, based on the concept of "Future mobility life that makes dreams come true," we will introduce technologies that will bring you three joys: "Connecting you with society," "Enjoying the ride," and "Watching over you."
At the exhibition booth, a video will be shown introducing efforts related to "omotenashi" functions that provide safe, smooth and comfortable transportation services from home to your destination, as well as a demonstration of "ILY-Ai," a personal mobility device that can be transformed into four different shapes to suit a variety of uses.
In addition, a technical demonstration of "automated valet parking" will be conducted using an actual vehicle. "Automatic valet parking" is a technology that allows the car to enter and exit a parking space automatically when the user gives instructions from outside the car via smartphone. Not only is it helpful for users who are not good at parking, but it also makes it possible to enter and exit parking spaces even in narrow spaces where parking and getting in and out are difficult. In this demonstration, the scenario is parking at a shopping mall, where the user gets out of the car at the entrance to the parking lot, gives instructions to park via smartphone, and the car automatically enters the parking space. Furthermore, when the user returns home, the car will automatically leave the parking space and greet the user at the drop-off and pick-up point.
