Loco Solare visits our company!
On April 21, 2025, special guests visited the ADVICS Fujioka Branch (Toyota City, Aichi Prefecture). The five members of the women's curling team "Loco Solare" were Satsuki Fujisawa, Chinami Yoshida, Yuko Suzuki, Yurika Yoshida, and Mari Motohashi, the company's representative director. Through technical experience and interaction with employees, it was a day full of smiles.
A partnership born from ties to Hokkaido
We conduct brake evaluation tests in Hokkaido, and as part of our contribution to the local community, we are working to revitalize Hokkaido and promote curling.
In 2013, we acquired the naming rights to one of Japan's largest curling halls in Kitami, Hokkaido, and the "ADVICS Tokoro Curling Hall" was born. Since the following year, the hall has been hosting the "ADVICS Cup" every year, bringing together the top men's and women's teams. Furthermore, in 2016, we signed a sponsorship contract with Loco Solare, and continue to support the team as one of their main sponsors.
Experience the world of cutting-edge braking technology with Loco Solare!
The Loco Solare members visit our company after each season to deepen their interactions with our employees. They have visited the head office, Kariya Plant, and Handa Plant so far, and every visit was a great success.
This year, they visited our Fujioka branch for the first time and observed brake pad durability tests. They seemed very interested in the latest technology and there was an active Q&A session. Afterwards, the members themselves drove a vehicle equipped with our technology and experienced the performance of ABS (Anti-lock Braking System) *1 and TCS (Traction Control System) *2. One member commented, "I realized once again how much ADVICS' braking technology helped me when I was driving on the snowy roads of Hokkaido. I'm grateful that they always looked after me."
*1 A system that improves vehicle stability by preventing wheel lock when braking on various road surfaces.
*2 A system that reduces tire slippage when starting and accelerating, making accelerator operation easier.
The coveted Loco Solare is right in front of you!
Approximately 50 employees participated in the social gathering. While looking back on Loco Solare's success this season, they had the opportunity to hear directly about their enthusiasm for the upcoming season. The players answered each of the employees' questions carefully. They shared invaluable stories that you normally wouldn't hear, such as anecdotes from during the game and behind-the-scenes stories about the team, and the venue was filled with a friendly atmosphere from start to finish.
The excitement at the venue reached a fever pitch with a raffle where participants could win autographed goods from the band members. At the end of the event, all participants were given a commemorative pen from Loco Solare. One employee commented, "It was amazing to be able to get up close and personal with the Loco Solare members that I've supported on TV. I'll continue to support them in the future!"
Co-creation with local communities through sports
In September, the top three teams in Japan, including Loco Solare, will compete in the finals to decide who will represent Japan at the Milan-Cortina Winter Olympics. ADVICS will continue to support Loco Solare's challenge and will also focus on contributing to the local community through sports. In addition, we will treasure opportunities for employees to experience the excitement and learning of sports, and create a place where employees can connect with the local community.
