Urexix is born! Let's increase the number of "pleasant words" with mnemonics.
One day in October 2025, a colorful poster was put up inside ADVICS. The design, featuring a group of six characters named "UreSix," caught the attention of employees and quickly became a hot topic. The UreSix are a hero squadron created to spread words that make people happy to hear within the company. They were created as part of a corporate culture initiative led by the labor-management office.

A hero squadron born from the voices of approximately 4,800 people
A company's culture is shaped by the words and actions exchanged in the workplace every day. The purpose of this labor-management activity is to foster a better culture by changing words and actions. Approximately 4,800 employees responded to the labor-management survey conducted this fiscal year.
Based on the feedback collected, we clarified the words and actions we wanted to increase, and began the initiative by redefining the basic behavior employees should adopt. Particularly common were stories of how a casual comment from a superior or colleague was a great encouragement to the employee. There are many words that move the heart other than "thank you." In order to increase the number of such words, the Labor-Management Office created a poster that can be shared throughout the company.

"Urexix" spreads words that make people happy
The "words that made us happy" submitted by employees were categorized into six categories: "gratitude," "expectations," "approval," "praise," "appreciation," and "trust." "UreSix" was created to spread these six positive words in an easy-to-remember and fun way. We created a friendly character with a pun on the word, and we worked hard to convey its meaning the moment you see it.
This initiative focuses on expanding the vocabulary drawer. The idea is to increase the repertoire of words so that words will come out naturally at unexpected moments. In addition, actual anecdotes such as "who said it, in what situation, and how it was said" are included to make it easier to imagine situations in which the words would be used.

Behind the scenes of the thoughts behind the poster
The poster for Ure6 was created by Yamamoto Keita of Human Resources & General Affairs Dept.. In fact, it was all produced in-house. After joining ADVICS mid-career, Yamamoto worked in Plant Administration & Control Sect. before being transferred to his current position in Human Resources & General Affairs Dept.. Influenced by his superiors who were good at design, he taught himself and developed his ideas by studying fonts and color usage in his daily life.
"There's no point in just changing superficial words. If you don't put your heart into them, they won't get through to the other person. But the first step is to change the actions you can see and the words you hear. I hope that this labor-management activity will serve as an opportunity for each and every one of us to reexamine our own words and actions."
The posters are a "device" to change the workplace culture. The passion behind them is driving the future of ADVICS.

Small words have great power
Since the posters were put up, small changes have been occurring within the company. Comments such as, "After seeing Urethix, I've become more conscious of the words I use," and "The anecdotes featured on the poster were probably words I used to speak to my subordinates. It was embarrassing, but it made me want to continue to use more positive words." have been received.
Just one word can move people's hearts and warm the atmosphere in the workplace. The accumulation of such words fosters a culture filled with trust and gratitude. UreSix is an initiative that helps us to reaffirm the power of words.

UreSix's challenge continues
In order to spread these pleasant words throughout the company, we are considering incorporating them into education and training for new employees and those promoted, and turning them into a guide. The words and ideas born from this initiative will be recorded and passed on as they evolve. Adding new words and spreading them is a valuable asset for ADVICS. We will continue to work with Urexix to increase the number of pleasant words and spread smiles throughout the company.
