Expanding local connections

On May 10, 2026, the "Fujioka Rally Bunbun Special Day" was held at Nakayama Elementary School and Iino Elementary School in the Fujioka district of Toyota City, Aichi Prefecture. This event was co-sponsored by the Fujioka Community Center, the Fujioka South Community Center, and the Fujioka Rally Executive Committee, with ADVICS Rally Team participating with full cooperation.

At Iino Elementary School

This event was planned to allow elementary and junior high school students in the Fujioka area, one of the venues for the FIA World Rally Championship (WRC) Forum8 Rally Japan 2026, which will be held in Aichi and Gifu prefectures from May 28 to 31, 2026, to directly experience the charm and fun of rallying and to increase their interest in the sport.

ADVICS, based in the Fujioka area, is a company that works closely with the local community. Their desire to "convey the appeal of cars to children through the real experience of rallying" led them to cooperate with this initiative.

"Conveying" the depth of rallying

On the day of the event, four members of our rally team participated, giving an introduction to our rally activities and explaining the highlights of the competition. In front of the display vehicles, they explained the unique structure and ingenuity of rally cars, and the participants listened attentively with great interest. It seemed that the event helped them to deepen their understanding of rallying as a profound sport that is "more than just about driving fast."

Experience the power firsthand

The atmosphere at the venue completely changed with a demonstration run of a rally car by our company members. The sight of the car speeding along, kicking up dust, drew loud cheers from the crowd.

Furthermore, children selected through a pre-event lottery also had the opportunity to experience a test ride in the passenger seat of a rally car. After experiencing the actual driving, they commented, "It was more fun than I imagined," and "I've come to love cars even more."

Together with the community, "raise the fire"

Mayor Ota of Toyota City also visited Iino Elementary School and even took a test drive, making the event a great success for the entire community. A video of the day's events is available on the official Toyota City website, so please take a look. The excitement for Rally Japan "Fujioka SSS" (a super special stage on public roads in the Fujioka area) scheduled for Saturday, May 30th, also seemed to have increased even further.

For ADVICS, rally activities are an endeavor with value that goes beyond mere technical skill. A challenge that began with the employees' passion has led to improvements in technology and teamwork, and has spread to the local community and future generations. Moving forward, ADVICS will continue to drive alongside the community, connecting the joy and possibilities of automobiles to the future.
