On March 20th (National Holiday), we held our first one-day "Sustainability Festival" at our Head Office Technical Center as part of our sustainability awareness campaign. The purpose of the event was to raise employees' interest in sustainability, have them have fun while also taking it personally, and create an opportunity for employees and their families to learn more about our company's sustainability efforts. Many participants got to see, eat, and experience things on the day.
Cultivating future engineers through programming courses
The total number of participants in our programming classes, which have been held for local elementary and junior high school students, has now reached over 1,000. Our unique educational content provides an opportunity to learn programming in a fun way using robots. This was the first time we held an in-house programming class, and 23 groups (71 employees and their families) participated. Our Robocon team HELIOS, which has won the ET Robocon national championship six times, also participated, creating a lot of excitement.

Following the backs of hard working moms and dads! A parent-child company exploration tour
"Going to the workplace where Mom and Dad work" is a great experience for children. They may find that their dad, who always jokes around at home, is actually developing products that boast world-leading technology, or their mom, with her lovely smile, is a reliable leader at work. Children who participated said things like, "Mom's company is big!" and "Dad is doing difficult things at the company!"

Exhibition of our products that contribute to the evolution of the automotive society
ADVICS was founded in 2001 as the world's only supplier of complete brake systems. With the technology to control all aspects of driving, the company has contributed to the development of the automotive industry. Employees could be seen explaining products to their families and engaging in lively conversations in front of products they themselves helped develop.

Introducing our rally team, putting all our effort into both work and hobbies!
Our rally team, which was formed by volunteer members, is made up of 30 car enthusiasts. They have achieved good results in the All Japan Rally Championship and the TGR Rally Challenge. The rally car, which bears the "ADVICS" company name, is equipped with our brake products. The children's eyes lit up when they saw the cool machines.

Eat delicious food and contribute to society!
Employment support for people with disabilities
To support the employment of people with disabilities, sweets and hamburgers from "Okashi Kobo Pandora," a Type B business that supports continued employment, were provided in the cafeteria. Pandora's sweets are usually sold in the cafeterias of the head office and Kariya Plant, but this was the first time that five different types of sweets were lined up on the menu! Participants had fun saying, "They all look so delicious, I can't decide what to get!"

Providing school meals to developing countries with TFT menus
By eating the healthy "TABLE FOR TWO (TFT)" menu, 10 yen will be donated from the bill and 10 yen from the company or cafeteria, for a total of 20 yen. 20 yen is the cost of one school meal in a developing country. This event will provide school meals to 119 children. In addition, our company started the TFT system at the head office in 2018, and will expand the scope to the Handa Plant and Kariya Plant from 2024. To date, we have provided a total of 33,947 meals*.
*As of the end of March 2025

Contributing to the local community through locally produced menus
A special menu for the event, "Miso-grilled pork cutlet bowl" using local "Mikawa pork" was served in the cafeteria. By thinking of the region that has always supported us and eating local food, we contributed to the local economy and environmental conservation.

Conclusion
In addition to this, we are implementing a wide variety of sustainability awareness-raising measures, such as holding children's product adoption events and introducing vending machines with donations. We will continue to work to raise employees' sustainability awareness through various activities and strive to make a wide range of contributions to society as a "good corporate citizen."
